Ingredients
- 1 and a half pounds ground beef
- Two thirds cup breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- Half cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 and a quarter cups ketchup, divided
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Half teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 F. Grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl mix beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, Worcestershire, half cup ketchup, salt, pepper, and parsley until combined.
- Shape into a loaf and place in the pan.
- Spread the remaining ketchup over the top.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature is 160 F.
- Rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
- Add shredded carrots or zucchini for extra moisture.
- Leftovers make great sandwiches the next day.
- Try half beef and half pork for richer flavor.
