Elon Says He Saved Trump—Seriously?

The Eagle Report

So, get this — Elon Musk just went nuclear on X, saying, “Without me, Trump would’ve lost the election, Dems in control of the House, GOP in minority in the Senate.” Ouch. That’s not exactly humble bragging. A wild twist for a guy who spent nearly $300 million backing Trump and pals. Makes you wonder: is this genuine pride or salt from feeling unappreciated?

Trump, of course, didn’t take it lying down. On Truth Social, he blasted Musk as “crazy,” threatened to pull billions in government contracts from Tesla and SpaceX, and said he’s not even talking to Elon right now. Trump said something like, “Hope he does well with Tesla,” but also dropped some classic shade: “Elon and I had a great relationship…not sure anymore.”

Here’s where it gets spicy. Musk’s tweet box was on fire — he dropped the “without me” bomb, then doubled down on debt criticisms, impeachment talk, even resurrecting his Epstein-file allegations. He said Trump’s budget is a “disgusting abomination.” Meanwhile, Trump warns of consequences if Elon flips for Democrats. Big political chess game there.

Between those explosive posts, Musk has a point: he was a big financial and social media muscle behind Trump’s win. Wikipedia confirms Musk gave at least $260M+ through super PACs and even set up a Trump war room in Pennsylvania. So yeah, he did move the needle.

But Trump’s no chump. He’s like, “Thanks, but I’m good.” And his allies are stepping in. House Speaker Mike Johnson said Musk’s credit is misplaced — Trump made it happen. Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders and Cory Booker are calling Musk out for flirting with Republicans and Trump’s side, calling him an oligarch who can’t be trusted. Democrats are conflicted — some want him, others want nothing to do with him.

Now, here’s the burning question: did Musk just feel used? Was this public declaration his version of a breakup text? Or is he trying to redirect the story — maybe the budget spending scandal dwarfed the election? And what about Trump — is he playing hard to get, or genuinely done?

It’s all still unfolding. Tensions momentarily eased after aides from both sides had a chat — some sort of pause in hostilities. But don’t get too comfy. These two alpha males don’t exactly do smooth reunions.

All I know is: politics, money, and ego made a mixtape here. And hearing Elon claim credit for Trump’s victory? It’s like watching two billionaires argue over who saved the world. Drama overload, right?

Stay tuned. Popcorn time.
